Quick Fix!!!!!

Go to C:\Windows\System32
Find the files WGALogon.dll and WGATray.exe
Rename these files to something else.
Then restart the Computer.
Popups gone.

Or you could purchase a genuine copy of windows XP.

The restoration will not work. This is Microsoft making itself a pain in your ***. trying to get you to pay for something that you leagaly should have purchased. Your computer will still work perfectly but you will continue to get the pop ups and they are almost impossible to get rid of. I actually reformated my hard drive to solve this problem. once clear of this crap be sure to never update the computer without looking at the updates first. no automatic updates. My tech guy gave me a fix for this once but I could never get it to work. I am actually thinking of switching to a mac just because of being tired of the windows attitude and system. Suffer in silence? I think not!
