Yes, it's the right thing to do and cashiers might lose their job if their drawer is off...I wouldn't want to cost someone their job over a few bucks.

well the other day the vending machine at school gave me a dollar back when i put in a dollar for some $0.50 chips. i kept it. it was small change and the school is always finding a way to suck money out of my pocket, so i felt i deserved it. lol. but if it we're more than a dollar i would have gave it back.

I usually give it back but once I had a cashier that didn't even look at me let alone say a word, so I kept the money, it was like $25.

I would, i could, and i have given back.
i don't know i would feel bad thinking that the cashier would have to pay those 10$ that he/she has given to someone accidentaly.
it would also make me feel bad because i dont work and the cashier is working for money because he/she probably needs the money and he/she is probably making minamum
wage (in texas its around 5.50$) so it would take them about 2 hours to make up for those 10$ they lost

I have both kept and given back. I guess it depends on the mood I am in and how broke I am!
