For me, I just love "Joe Vs. The Volcano" with Tom Hanks / Meg Ryan... there is so much depth and meaning to that movie.. everyone should watch it once in their lives...

"What Dreams May Come"
This movie fits my genre, in that it's a dark movie, and not on any top 10 list, but is in main stream culture.
When the movie came out I really liked it, has a lot of meaning about loss in life.....and questioning if we ever find that peace on earth . Not the kind of movie you want to watch if you're already down about things.

I think we could have same taste in movies
Hudson Hawk
It bombed big time at the box office but I really loved the theme of doing heists in the time of a song. maybe no one recognized the songs.
Didn't like the ending, too tidy,unbeliveable and clinically American. The way they sanitised the 1st gulf war by not publicising air to ground missiles pin pointed at under ground bunkers containing women and children.
then denying publicity of returning veterans in coffins
thats how Hollywood can work too
sanitising history and corrupt figures like Columbus.

'Big fish'. I thought it was great, especially with the VERY subtle satire. but no one else found it interesting.
Even 'Chicago' and 'A Clockwork Orange' to some extent.
But i despise romantic films. I generally despise cheesy stuff.

Pleasantville. No one I know likes it but I thought it was an amazing story.
