Fans who hate the Yankees have to realize that there are still over 100 games left. You don't make up a large deficit in a matter of a few games. Look at what the Twins did last year! You didn't hear about htem enough. 12 back in late May and won the division over the Tigers on what, the final day? Everyone is making so much of a deal out of this bad start from the Yankees because people love to hate the Yankees, because they know that they are the best team. Rings, anyone?

Papelbon still has more saves in the last 10 days than Rivera has all season. The Yankees picked up a game on the Red Sox this weekend, but they still trail by 13 1/2. They have a long way to go. Will they do it? You don't know, but I still would rather be up by 13 1/2 than down by that much in fourth place, six games under .500. Your pitching coach Ron Guidry was tearing up the league in 1978, the Yankees don't have anyone comparable this year. The Yankees are still a good team and still might make the playoffs, but the Red Sox, Indians and Angels are significantly better than the Yankees. So are the Athletics and Tigers.

Red Sux, puh leeze come up with something better than that. too bad your team is depending on a 40's something guy to "help" the Yanks climb out of the deep miry hole they are currently in. god thats pathetic. hope he gets hit all over the park when he visits the pirates sat. that would be awesome! But back to the Bosox they don't suck man they don't even come close to sucking. just cuz they won 2 games in Boston dosen't make them a good team. if it had been a good warm evening, that hit by big papi in the bot. of the 9th would have been gone, and everyone knows that in extra innings the sox would've kicked your yankee a**es all the way back to the big apple

Yea buddy you must be right. Luckily for us we have Okajima who has only one less save than Rivera, only cause he got one tonight. Yea that must suck having a guy whose not even a closer have as many saves as your closer. especially when one guy is a Red Sox reliever and the other is Mariano Rivera. He did get a save tonight but thats not a big deal to the Red Sox because they know they can beat him, they've done it many many times before.

Gotta hand it to you..that was a great question..(or opinion, if you will?)
That's ok, would much rather have Papelbon on my roster than having that douchebag Alex Rodriguez on my payroll cleaning out the team's locker room....

hell no...he's one of the best closer in MLB today...this is like one of rare mistakes that Papelbon commits once in a while...also he is way better than Mariano Rivera
