Why would your Doc want you to quit if you are already terminal with a disease, Did he tell that if you stop that the disease will cure itself, I don't think so, and they say that 2nd hand smoke kills others when I hear more in the news that another person was killed by a drunk driver. They target smokers but they don't target idiots that drink and driving.
If I was terminal I wouldn't quit, quiting won't change anything.

It might prolong your life to do it, but for me, it would depend on how long it would prolong my life. But it also would depend on how much I relied on them. I'm in the process of quiting and am down to less than a handful per day. Yesterday I only had 2. Today I've had 3. At this rate, I would just quit cuz I'm not nearly as reliant on them anymore. But if I was smoking at least a pack per day, I wouldn't want to spend the time being miserable and making others miserable while I quit. Depending on how long you have left, I would try to enjoy that time with as little stress as possible.

Yes quit anyway. You may or may not be able to get rid of the disease or cancer, but you can keep it from getting worse. Better late than never.

If you are not worried about smoking don't quit. Each of us alone makes the decision to smoke or not. No one else , even your doc, can tell you.

If you're serious about quiting, do it-I tried quiting several times & never was able to-it's tough, (I have a friend who quit for 5 yrs. & then started again!-I'm like, if you go that long & start again, I may do the same if I tried to quit!)

You say that you're not worried about cancer. But a loved one can get cancer from you by second hand smoke. Is the risk worth it? Please quit.
