The youngsters of the team are coming into their own now. Willits, Aybar, Kotchman and Kendrick have been productive, even during injuries to the veterans like Anderson, Figgins, and Rivera.
Even on the pitching side, the Angels have the best staff in baseball.Again the Angels have absorbed short stints on the DL by Colon, Weaver, Escobar and Speier. Saunders and Mosely have been able to make spot starts to help out the club and post wins.
If the Angels can figure out Boston, they can win it all.

They have a great deal of pitching talent, Lackey, Weaver (the good one), Colon (when he's healthy), Santana and Escobar make them a very respectable team. Having Vladimir Guerrero gives them one of the best bats in the AL. (Juan Rivera will be back in July.) Their defense is respectable, much better than last year. They have a solid bullpen. They have the best team in the AL West. For peripheral matters, they play in front of 35,000 plus on day games and 40,000 at most night games when at home, about twice the crowds in Oakland unless Boston or New York is in town.

so far so good as long as ervin santana only pitches at home. isnt his road era like above 6? and his home era is like 2? that is odd stuff. i think if vlad stays healthy, they should be in the playoffs. the name needs work. i hate the los angeles angels of aneheim. i liked it better when it was just anaheim angels, much more simple and easier to say.

Seasons can turn on a dime, meaning an injury,a slump of a key player or the team as a whole, but so far they look playoff bound.
