1) Determine your skin tone - warm or cool.

2) Select a lipstick that mirrors your natural lip color. If you have pale lips, then use your inner lip as a guide. A "your lips but better" color is the easiest & most versatile color to pull off.

3) Some colors to start with:
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey (either warm or cool) or Almost Red (cool)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Cherries in the Glow (easy to wear, sheer neutral red)

BeneFit Lipstick in Birthday suit (sheer redwood, best on warm tones)

First you must know what you want and also that the lipstick do not change color. Go to www.boticacosmetics.com and check the lipstick. It is ture in color. For darker wear with fuller lips, go matte. For thinner lip or for fuller lips, try pearls lipstick. If you have fine lines, this is especially great on your lips, pure pearls looks great under any light and the pearls smooth wrinkle. You must make sure it is pearls, not all shiny products are pearls since they are not cheap. So it is not so much the color but the formula as well. Your lipstick in natural tone do not have to match you outfit, but should match your eye make up.

this is the best way to find a SUBTLE shade of lip color...

the color of the inside of your lip should be the color of your lipstick or gloss or whatever.

the only problem with this is that it might be kinda plain, but if subtle/natural is what you're looking for, GO FOR IT BABY!

I'd think pale colours like light pink, peach, would do the trick :D I don't wear lipstick, I just smear some lip gloss a little and i think it looks nice on olive skin too ^^
