Of course I pet other people's dogs. But not all dogs are in to petting.

I always ask if it is ok to pet them first. If they say yes, then I will. I don't mind people petting my dogs because mine are sweet and love the attention!

Only if the owner says it's OK with them, and that the dog wont bite. I'm a huge animal lover. If I could I would pet all of the Animals. Only IF they were TAME and such.

Yea ill pet the ones who are calm. But not the huge dogs or the small fiesty ones.

Sometimes, but it depends on the situation. If I'd like to pet the dog, I always ask first. My neighbors dogs know me well, but I always ask first, unless the husky comes up to me first.

Yes. After a bunch of years training dogs, you know the signs of what animal is receptive and eager to be acknowledged. They all love a good scritch behind the ears.

I let the dog sniff my hand first & if he appears friendly I pet him. I don't pet pit bulls though even though I know they can be friendly & we mustn;t encourage breed specific behavior.

i love dogs and cats, i always asked for the owner permission if i can pet their dogs. cats only if they come to me by themselves.
