So this is the story: my husband and I use condoms as birth control method. Last time we had sex we noticed that the condom got torn while intercourse so we switched to a new one. After 3 days I got into my period and I noticed that there was a pice of rubber floating in the toilet after urinating. I got in a shock when I realize that that piece of rubber belonged to the torn condom of 3 days ago.
I was wondering if there is any chance to get an infection by having a strange material in the vagina channel without noticing on time?

yes, infection is possible so you could get checked it out by your doctor, but if you have an infection you would notice vaginal buring, itching and soreness, maybe even a fever.

Since it came out durring your period I really don't see you getting an infection. If it had been up there for a month or more then I would say yes, you could probably get an infection. Go see your doc if you start to notice anything strange or if you are worried. Good luck!!

It's very unlikely but I would just keep an eye on any vaginal discharge changes.
