Sure violin . there is no comparison between them . in guitar you have frats witch help you to play but in violin that' really a problem to have good intenation . then you have a bow and it needs really a lot of practise to know how to produse a good sound form the violin using the bow. Then violin have a lot of techniques in left arm and right arm and all those techniques are so diificult not like the guitar at all.

Guitar is easier, hands down. Initially, the difference is huge, because you can sound decent on guitar just strumming chords. This is especially true because of the type of music that is popular with guitar nowadays. I mean if you wanted to learn to play flamenco, that would seem much harder (although i can't say with certainty because I've never tried classical guitar... but just listen to how fast it is!). Even still, with violin, you don't get frets so you have to learn where each note is by ear and muscle memory. Then you have to coordinate your right hand to bow straight, and make smooth transitions, and all that stuff. Everyone sound awful at first. But violin is an awesome instrument, I wish I had kept learning (I stopped after 2 years). Instead I just decided to focus on piano, which is a great, versatile instrument... but there is something magical about the violin sound (when it's not scratchy).

You could try violin since your fingers aren't co-ordinating. But I would recommend keyboard because than you could learn a lot of other instruments from there. Keyboard is the best instrument to learn if you are first playing an instrument. If you have played guitar for a while and have learned to read music, then go ahead with violin.

Im 14, i have an electric guitar that sits and stairs at me. Everyone plays it, be different and learn a violin. Guitar is easier.. but im polish and my ethnicity is highly shown in my family and violins are used to express it.. so it'd make more sense for me to learn violin, plus i love the sound and im a techno freak! So.. do what you like, and enjoy.. as you can tell, i didnt like the guitar.. i would like to try bass and violin in my near future.

Guitar would definatley be easier to learn but if you want to learn violin and guitar do it. A little bit of a challenge never hurt anyone. Good luck

Guitar is more popular but not necessary easier to learn.
Its "cool" to play guitar. How many times you'll be in a company of your friends and see someone play violin?? ( unless you are in a company of a violin-playng friends ) From my experience i regret not learning piano when i had a chance.

Based on what I have heard, with the violin you have to be more careful or precise just to get a good decent sound. (Not to mention it is irritating when you play it the wrong way.) With the guitar you just hold down the strings well enough to get a good sound. I also haven't played the violin so I'd have to say guitar.

A violin is a much more difficult instrument to learn. I'm sure once you have accomplished the skills, it is probably much more rewarding. You most likely won't earn any money doing it though,
