My mom has always wanted to start canning and just is always too busy helping others out to have some time to herself so I thought it would be a good idea if I went out and bought her the canning jars so she has a good enough reason to start and to do something she has wanted to do. I know it's nothing huge but still.

Anyone know what stores sell canning jars?

1st, that's awesome you want to do this for your mom.

2nd, start here:

canningpantry.com
homeandbeyond.com

And also try big lots, walmart, tractor supply, or hardware, cook and chef supply stores locally.

Hi! Found mine at Wal-mart and at Fry's. There was Pectin and new lids & rings with instruction on how to use. Been thinking about making Prickly Pear or Jalapino jelly. Best of luck you sound sweet.

large grocery stores, walmart, and any of the farm stores, like tractor supply usually have them too.

That is so sweet.
I see them at Walmart, Winco, and any grocery store. (They would be more expensive at Safeway, etc.) Have fun!
