Years ago when I was in jazz band in high school, we did an old instrumental song called The Stripper. It sounds like a song played in an old burlesque show. I'm getting married next month and we want to use it for the garter song. I'm trying to find out or wrote or performed and info on how to get it. Please, serious answers only. Thanks

"The Stripper" was originally recorded by the David Rose orchaestra in the mid-1960's. I'm a professional musician, and use this at the garter ceremony regularly. I do have an MP3 of it. Email me at keyboard.king@yahoo.com and I'll send it over to you. Best of luck to you on the wedding day and in your future marriage. Jim

I can't believe no one has told you the song was written by David Rose for the musical "Gypsy" about the famous stripper Gypsy Rose Lee. I am a performing musician and that song has been used as the "garter" song as long as I can remember!
