Can a child use an adult Disney world ticket?

Yes, but check with Guest Service. You may be able to trade the value of the ticket in toward a childs ticket and get more days. The old tickets would allow this, you could take your ticket in and upgrade its value toward whatever you needed, and since a childs ticket is less expensive it may give you some $ toward an additional day if you need it.

I'm not quite sure what your question is. As long as the ticket has not been used by someone else recently, you should have no problems using it. Disney started using a biometrics scanner not too long ago so people couldn't share tickets, tickets used before that was put in, however, are fine.

But as long as the ticket has not been used by anyone else and is not expired, tehre should not be any problems.
