What is this the 1940's with the "Whites only restroom"
Maybe some white people don't want to look like casper as you do.

I think. If I want a tan, I would have to burn first and that hurts for a few days. Then I would peel something awful (looks like flesh eating disease) after that, I would get a lower degree of pale. No dark, pretty skin here! No copper, or lovely shades, I'm a pale face and there's no way out. Anyway, as for cancer, I prefer not to get any. Eye folds? Whites only? Whites are not always white people in the way you might think. I have American Indian in my Scottish/Irish/mut mix blood. Still, you can't even see that my grandma was full blood Cherokee, by the skin color.

I laugh at how you say whites only, you could have just asked "Do you plan on getting a tan this summer." Most people of color do not tan (on purpose) - I am very happy you are proud of your ethnicity, but do you have to express your frustration to everyone, LOL. Some Asians may want bigger eyefolds and if they get them good for them, some whites might want a summer glow - nothing is wrong with these things if it makes the person feel good about themselves. I know you asked for (whites only) LOL that is so Jim Crow, but it is a free country, so I answered it anyway,

Awww, no one else is allowed in the whites only question:)
Tanning is dangerous and a lot of people seem to be obsessed with it. Going to tanning salons 3 times a week or more. I say be happy with the skin color God gave you. I love my brown skin and I have no desire to be more white or more dark, I love being brown. I have melanin in my skin as well so it protects me from the sun, I guess this is why a lot of people of color don't have to worry abourt skin cancer.
I think you could have used a more respectful comparison than the remark about Asian's eyes. But Im sure tact wasn't on the top of your list when writing the question.

Too much sun, can make you age much faster, especially if you overdue it in the tanning beds. That is why I don't tan. Some sun is healthy, though, and when I am out naturally, I do get some sun, and I darken a little. I do not use sun screen because I have read that it is more dangerous than the sun alone. But, I have not sun bathed since I was in my 20's. *sm*

Listen..Im sorrry, im sorry, but ye shoulnt get tan. If you can just give me a minute to indulge...Everytime you get a tan, you get the risk of developing skin cancer, the taning salon is not a healthy solution either. I never got why some want to tan for a nation that disregards darker complected ppl. And besides, not to sound harsh, but some of ye caucasians with tan look like Latinas with a taning problem. I mean...Farooqq says it better....DAMN!!

I hate lying around doing nothing, but I love working outdoors.
So, if my job has me outdoors a lot, or if I take kids to parks and swimming, then my skin will darken some.
That's just life. In fact, my left arm is darker than my right arm, because when I drive, my left arm rests on the door where the window is rolled down.
My skin is mostly blotchy due to years and years and years of scars... so, really, the color of my skin is of no big concern to me.
To quote Bon Jovi, I just to want to live while I'm alive.

I live in Florida and I'm already tan.....I don't sit in the sun to get tan, because I don't wanna look metrosexual or like one of those homosexual surfers....I just been running 2 miles a day/5 times a week with no shirt on, and it's getting hot and steamy in this state already

No tans here - lots of skin cancer in our family!
I'm always so amazed that it seems hardly anyone is content. Curly-haired people want straight hair, dark folks want to be light and light folks want to be dark, tall people want to be shorter and short people want to be taller etc.

I'm VERY proud to be a white woman. I'm not going to "tan," but I might just go out and then my skin will get a little darker. I think white people have a beatiful skin color. They look clean and fresh. I don't think a dark tan is attractive.
