it shuts off by itself and i don't even know why, can someone please tell me what's wrong :[

I went to my power options and it said turn off monitor "after 20 minutes" is that why my computer has been shutting off by itself?

Usually when I see this, a thermal sensor is getting too warm and is shutting down the computer to protect the components.

If your computer is getting too warm, it is probably a failing or dirty fan or heatsink on the processor, power supply, case or video card.

It could be a number of other things such as a faulty power supply, or other component in the computer.

It depends. If it is going through a normal shutdown routine, someone (maybe a network admin who wanted to play a joke on you) may be playing on your computer. If it just shuts down without going through a normal shutdown routine, then you should get your computer cleaned and the fans checked, as the computer may be overheating.

Go to your Control Panel and check to see if the Power Settings have been changed.

From your 'Additional details' comment the answer is yes, it's a 'Power Saver feature', either enable more time, or disable it by 'unchecking' the box.

yes you probably have a hacker using your computer and virus and spyware...
you need to pay someone who really knows about pcs and they can fix it for you
