About 20 years ago I worked at the Bel Air hotel, in Los Angeles, at the desk. I met Sally Field, John Travolta, Dolly Parton, Richard Dreyfus, Robert Redford, Tom Selleck, and the entire cast of Dallas had a party there once. They were all very nice people. The night Chariots of Fire won the Oscar, the director had the statue and brought it to the desk. He let me pick it up. They're right....they are heavy.

P.S. I almost passed out when I saw Tom Selleck in a tux.

I met the football player Hollywod Henderson. I was a security guard at a Dallas radio station and he was a guest.
I also met quarterback Warren Moon and baseball player Bill Doran signing autographs at a mall. I met Eric Davis and Tom Browning because my baseball coach grew up with Eric Davis. Eric Davis was a snob; however, the rest were pretty friendly and cool.

Jesse Owens, Yoko Ono, Oral Roberts, Pat Robertson, Orel Hersheiser, Billy Preston (well he was famous back then). Walked past Joe Frazier before I realized it, also ran into but didn't talk to Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys former lead singer) and met the very infamous Tim Yohannon (Maximum Rock n Roll).

I've seen a lot of them, but technically only talked to one. Robert DeNiro...when he was in a restaurant next to the hotel I was staying at in DC. FYI - I didn't even know it was him until after we had our conversation. (He had a hat on and a scraggly beard.) The limo driver of the car behind his car informed me, as did several people at the restaurant. Probably a good thing I didn't know, or I would have been too star-struck to speak.

I also spoke to Michael Learned once. Briefly. (She played the Mom on the Waltons.)

I walked past Brad Pitt while visiting Hollywood. He looked very anxious/on edge, was walking very quickly. Probably didn't want to be noticed in a tourist destination, especially with paparazzi and all.
