push button start? Nissan called it intelligent key with push button start on Altimas. Still seems a little gimmicky to me.

this might take 10-quarter-hour.... set up the unique key and turn to the "on" place (the place each and all the sprint lights furnishings get rid of darkness from). do no longer initiate engine now. leave key in this place for a minimum of 10 minutes. protection mild ought to the two blink &/or bypass off. the passive alarm device has now been reset. close off the important, initiate the vehicle. regularly solves situation. if same situation happens later, deliver to gm broker and that they're going to re-application the important. -ken

It depends upon the manufacturer.
Two common names are:
"Keyless ignition"
and
"Pushbutton start"
It varies from model to model as to whether or not this option is available from the factory. However, almost any car can have this option installed at a car stereo/alarm shop.
