I saw this special on Court tv about how some prisoners are finding love online. They supposedly have a pen-pal/ dating sight where the inmates can post a picture of themselves & a brief description of themselves. People can contact them through that sight. I thought it was strange that they had those privledges. I thought they could only use a computer for legal information or stuff like that. I'm sure these weren't the hardened criminals like murderers, but still, they are supposed to be in prison to be punished for the crime they commited. Isn't an internet penpal sight going a bit too far? I think so!

I don't believe so, they are not allowed cell phone's so I imagine computers are out.
Imagine gang members, drug dealers running their criminal activities from the pokey.
That's it from this side of the ditch ausblue.

I agree with the person who said that they seem to have more rights than the rest of us and live in conditions better than many.
We have a new prison in a place near Dunedin called Milton.
It is already being called the "Milton Hilton".
Cheers

I would hope it would only be for educational purposes so they could work off line and that everything that goes in and out from the person is heavily scrutinised.
