A non-exhaustive list of American products imported by Greece includes vehicles (e.g. Jeep), heavy industrial machinery, military equipment (e.g. F-16 fighters), computer software (e.g. Windows, Office) and hardware (although the latter is often assembled locally).
The infrastructure and knowhow to produce most of these products is available or can be developed in Greece, but we do not need large quantitites because we are a small country. As a result, the cost per unit to actually produce these products would be much higher than to import them. Also, the fact that the dollar is weaker than the Euro favours imports at this juncture.
Greece produces a surplass of agricultural and dairy products (e.g. cheese, youghurt), but I'm not sure they are exported in large quantities into the US, as they are either perishable or would be too expensive to transport. As a result, Greece has a trade deficit in relation to the US.

With the world becoming smaller and smaller and technology so wide spread it is difficult to describe something that is needed. Due to lack of high tech facilities and a mediocre university system, Greece does export a lot of brain power to the US and EU. The main item for "export" is the country itself. It is a beautiful country ( there are plenty of beautiful counties in the world) but it has "magic" it has 16 000 islands and 15,000km of shore line. Tourism. Now the US might not "need" this but we definitely do.

We produce many things, the problem is that we dont promote our country as we should do..I can inform you that travelling a lot abroad, i have seen so many products, clothes, shoes also, in high prices and with the stamp''made in Greece''.In european countries. We import italians things sicne we liove the italian design so much, and some things from U.S,but greeks are not big fans of the U.S products...
I dont think we need something special from U.S,we can import also from Europe, i think what we need is conscoiusness, and more work to promote pour products which-i can assure you-are not worse that others, the opposite, in many cases are better

Greece has excellent olive oil, oranges, olives, many special types of cheese, also wine to export, as well as aluminium, and some other minerals or stone (marble, etc.), and cotton or textiles in general.
Greece imports from the US technology, like computers, electronics, etc.

Does Greece need anything??? I didn't know that. They have nice weather, nice country, nice food and ouzo, lots of tourists... They get the fish and octopus from the sea, ouzo from the vinyards :) I don't think they need anything from the US. Certainly not hamburgers :))))))))
