just got the car 6 months ago. It has 40k on it. Have had a few days where the car took a little long to start but never anything to bad. I drove the car several times today and started fine. Went out tonight to move it and wouldn't start, it will turn over as it is going to start but just wont. I had the battery and alternater checked, along with fuses. Thinking either fuel injector or starter, any thoughts???

Several thoughts come to mind. First off, is there a little red key flashing on your dash? If so you have possibly the wrong key. If not check your gas tank, out of gas? If it turns over the starter is fine by the way.

We have a '05 Matrix (basically, a Corolla mini-SUV) that we bought new in May '04. One day in Nov '04, it would turn over, but not start. Being under warranty, the dealership had it towed to their shop, where it was discovered that the MAIN FUEL PUMP (that sends fuel from the tank to the engine) had failed. Once replaced, the car started and ran normally, with no further repairs necessary. We've had no other problems with the car, since then.

Possable fuel pump failure long crank time was the give away. But it would not hurt to check the spark. Sounds Like a tow truck trip to Toyota dealer

I own a shop and it sounds like your fuel filter is bad or you are out of gas and good luck with it
