Hi Mike. Do you want to embarrass this guy (and have him continue to harass you) or do you want him to stop calling you names?
To get him to stop, just AGREE with him. If he calls you an idiot, simply say "you are right, I am an idiot". Believe me, that will stop him in his tracks AND it will take all of the fun away from him.
If you really want to drive HIM mad, continue the discourse about how you are an idiot (or whatever he is calling you). Say to him something like: "lets make a list of all the ways I am an idiot." Then start listing all of the things you know nothing about (rocket science, quantum physics, rebuilding automotive transmissions, heart surgery, etc. etc.). This will completely undermine his 'position of power' over you and ruin HIS day!

well, it depends on the names... when someone calles me a douche, i say "at least i get more pussy than you do",,,, but if someone calles me a punk, goth, whore, or say's that im going to hell. i say "your damn right i am",
the best way to mentally overcome what other people say to you is to give in when being confronted,(only on certain subjects). as long as you know who you are... you cant be touched... and if theyr going to be arrogant and foolhardy, then let them be. its their own actions that will lead them down.

yah i agree with the doc on this one...
just go along with it, if you let it get to you, and this kid sees it, he will know and continue to get the best of you. its his way of feeling god about himself.
if you shrug it off, tell him hes right...he will eventually run out of stuff to say, and it will get old to him!
