The best cure for ignorance is education. When trying to educate someone, first give some constructive training and a demonstration.
If the "students" try, but don't quite get it, give some general criticism (do not single anyone out). Demonstrate again and let the "students" try again.
If some are still not getting it, don't resort to singling anyone out; just give them some personal attention and assistance. Before long, you'll have everyone on the same page and the ignorance will be cured.
