I think I babysat a little bit in my teens... When I was 17 going on 18, I worked at the concession stand of a public pool, and then when I was 18 I worked at Circuit City for two years as a "Sales Specialist"... I basically worked in the music dept.

My first job was making fruit and cheese gift baskets for a farm store. I worked at Dunkin Donuts for about a year as well- but by age 16, I was working as a quality control inspector for a sub-contractor to IBM.

I worked at Dairy Queen, which I consider my time spent serving in fast food. I think it should be a requirement for all teenagers to experience the joys of greasy floors and crazy customers, among other things, but that's just me...

When I was younger I worked the concession stand at our minor league ballpark. Now I work at a Christian bookstore, where I've been at for nearly three years. I love it, and I'm gonna hate leaving it when I go to college in a few months.

I really didn't work as a high schooler:
*We kept moving during the summers (my dad was in the USAF), and my parents wouldn't let me work during the school year.
My first job (AND all throughout college) was as a lifeguard!
*My first pool was in a really tough part of town (we had just moved to this place, and I had NO idea how the town was divided up).
**A real eyeopener, to say the least!
*The other lifeguarding gigs were really cool.
**Nice clientèle/coworkers/supervisors.
**I almost moved to Southern Cal to work as one full time!
