A girl can't get her ears pierced without parental consent!
There are so many possible complications follwoing abortion or any medical procedure, that the family needs to know what is happening and what to do in case there are problems. Abortion is far more invasive than many people think, and women do die from it.

No. It's the parents right to know what their child is doing and a decision like that cannot be made by a minor. I'm sorry but these young girls need to be taught a lesson in life. You can't go around sleeping with every guy who looks at you and be stupid about it.
I do not agree with minors having sex- I did not have sex until I was an adult, in a very long term serious relationship, moved out of my parents house and had money to support a child if infact I did become pregnant. And of course I was on birth control pills and taking them properly.
I think parents need to be aware of what their children are doing since they sure as hell aren't raising them maybe an unwanted teen pregnancy will wake them up.
It's sad but sometimes that's what it takes.

As a parent I want to say no, that I would want to know what is happening to my daughter and to be involved with guidance in any decision in such a case.
However, I can only judge for my own family. I recognize there are situations where an adolescent woman could be in grave danger from her family in such a situation. I think there must be some kind of provisions made fur such situations.

You'd hope that the daughter would have a good relationship with her parents and could go to them for help. Unfortunately, facts don't prove that out.
If a girl is mature enough to get pregnant, she is mature enough to make the decision to give birth - or not.
Just like any other woman, nobody can FORCE her to give birth. It is her decision to make and hers alone.
The parental responsibility was to assure the minor daughter was never in a position to become pregnant in the first place.

It all depends on the case, I wouldn't want a blanket rule for all minors.
When people discuss this they usually think of their own kids, but not all homes are havens of safety.
