If Jason can stay healthy long enough to put in a few more solid years with the Yankee's then I think he has a shot. At this time when many players have ducked the issue of steroids, Giambi has stepped right up and admitted his use and his regret for the use of the drugs. He came off as truthful and human. Mark McGuire cried, denied, lied, and retired. Sammy Sosa retired, got all of the drugs out of his system, lost 40 pounds and came back! I hope Jason makes it to the HOF, I wish he had chosen to stay with Oakland (for a measly 6 million less) but I always have liked him... even in pinstripes.

No... if Mark McGwire wont get in, neither will Giambi... Giambi admitted to roids, he will never be let in... not to mention his numbers are not that outstanding...

He is a .291 career hitter with 357 hr's and 1167 rbi's.... plus theres the roids issue....

McGwire batted .268 with 583 hr's and 1414 rbi's... Mark is the only member of the 500 home run club not in the hall... and he only used andro not roids...

That said, Jason Giambi will never make it into the hall

No, he in basic terms does not have the numbers. regardless of if he hadn't been in touch in the Steroid scandals of the ninety's & early 2000's he does not have been a HOFamer. He wasn't on the perfect of 1st baseman for long sufficient to warrant attention. And this comes from an A's fan who enjoyed Giambi while he grow to be here.

No. Two reasons.

Not good enough for long enough.

Too much writer-sensitive controversy surrounding him.

If he can bring himself to say the word "steroids" in the context he keeps hinting at, it can only help. Not much, but some.

Being a Yankee is no more a guarantee to the HOF that is being a Maple Leaf.

No, the numbers aren't there.

Shouldn't you be calling yourself leafs-fan640?

No. His numbers just are not hall worthy and his body has slowly began to break down from problems with his eye site to problems with his feet.

Ummmm....not even close. Even if he was never under suspicion of using perfomance enhancers the numbers just aren't there.
