When people talk about CATS why do they always say, "she" or "her" but when it's a DOG they say "his" or "him"

I always say look at him about my male cat's! I also say he is so cute and precious I know there are female cat's to I just happen to have 2 male cat's........I know there are female dog's!

I've never noticed that trend.
My dog's a girl, so she's a she... my rabbit's a male, so he's a he, and 3 of my cats are males, so they're "he"s, and one of my cats is a gal, so she's a she.

When I talk about my cat and dog I refer to them by their names. My male dog is Sparky and my female cat is Sasha...

Cats like to curl up on the couch and watch TV.

A dog thinks of its owner; "He feeds me, he must be a god!"
