The funny thing is so many people just think it's fine and dandy to have sex and abort the fetus but when somebody say using drugs that's a horrid thing.

Wouldn't want to decrease productivity.

What a sick ****ing world we live in.

Okay, let me clarify a few things.

Rape is a different story, although it would be better if she could let it live I can understand this.

If it threatens the life of the mother I can understand having an abortion.

If it's going to be severely deformed and unable to function I can understand an abortion.

That's it.

I never have thought of it as sick....wrong but not sick....I guess that woed could be used to describe it as well....I have never been in that situation to have to make that choice but am shocked when there are a lot of people I know that have done it

Sometimes its necessary. In certain situations it is the right thing to do (NOT ALL) because the child born will suffer the consequences of a parent not fit for parenting. If someone is careless enough to have an unwanted pregnancy, how can they possibly bring up a CHILD? I am not saying it isnt imoral in some aspects, but sometimes the good outweighs the bad. It is often better to cancel a life before it begins, which in reality, although the child is technically 'alive' it hasnt.
Also, it is completely different to drug taking. You cant compare the two.
When discussing an issue like this you have to take into account individual situations, not just the fact that a fetus is being aborted. I hope this has made your opinion change, try to step outside the square of stubbornness.
P.s I do NOT thing abortion is right in every case.

A woman having an abortion is a very disgusting thing even to think about.

But any pregant woman or girl has the right just for being human to abort the fetus at anytime. Under no circumstances should a female have to put up with 9 months of pregancy and child birth becuse people feal they should if she doesn't want to.

You mentioned something about drugs. All I have to say to that is. "DRUGS ARE BADE M-KAY" -Mr. Maggie, South Park
The child is not born yet so it is not murder

The vast majority of abortions happen before the two-month mark, when it's still an embryo, and can't feel pain nor is self-aware (which means it can't suffer nor lament no longer existing). The person who gave me a thumbs down for saying this (before I added the paragraphs below) is ignorant--there is no consciousness nor sentience nor self-awareness nor ability to feel pain without a BRAIN and NEURAL INFRASTRUCTURE, stupid.

The vast majority of anti-choice arguments rely on an unrealistic/exaggerated (but usually just plain fabricated) romanticization of an embryo. This is what these idiots are calling a "baby:"

http://library.thinkquest.org/C0122429/pictures/embryo.gif <-- Embryo at five weeks--without magnification, it would look more like a bean than a baby. At eight weeks, an embryo is bean-shaped and an inch long.

Better than the alternative in many cases. Babies takes a lot of responsibility to raise. They shouldn't be forced on people just because of a biological happenstance. We can debate on exactly when is too late to attempt an abortion, but there's really a need for it.

Huh? What about the raped? What about the effects of deformation, and the complications some women face with pregnancy?

When you have to go through one, then you can comment to me about it. I've had one, and can tell you all about it if you want to hear. It's not some back-alley coat hanger job anymore. Plus not every child given up for adoption gets a parent.

Amen to that. And a star for you too :) I pray that God will someday open the eyes of others who feel that it is only there body's that are being affected, but a child who has no voice to speak for themselves. And we wonder why the US is under judgment. Go figure.

Rape- Adoption is available.
Deformed- Have a child with Down Syndrome, now age 12, just fine.
Complications from pregnancy- Been their done that. Gave it to God and in perfect health today

I think you're simplifying things a lot. Abortion is a personal decision, made for many different reasons. Don't judge others until you've stood in their shoes.

Abortion is a personal private choise we all should respect. Your language suggest that is not your modus operandus.
