Yes. It makes me think that someone has been kidnapped and perhaps murdered and the perp. is throwing away the evidence. Sometimes there are actually more clothes scattered as you drive farther down the road or highway. I always wonder if I should alert the police or not........Very disturbing.......

Ive never seen a shoe in the middle of the road actually. I once saw a pair of sneakers hanging by their shoelaces from the telephone wires once. That was weird. Made me wonder how the hell they got up there.

I wouldn't say it freaks me out, but I can't help but wonder how someone goes about losing their shoe, or if they even know that it is missing?

like, where is this person without one shoe?
Was it a practical joke?
Were they on their way to the garbage dump & it fell off the truck?
Did they turn around & look for their shoe when they discovered it missing?
Hey, you should start picking up all lost shoes & start a "missing shoe" website. Email to identify, so you can retrieve your shoe .... ok, that's dumb, but I do know what you mean!!

I've never seen that. Today I saw a pair of flip flops tied to a tree, though.

yeah, it's weird. does someone just decide that they don't like their shoes while they're driving down the road so they toss them out the window?

No it makes me think of how kids would tie their laces together of old sneakers & throw them up so that the would wrap around a phone wire
