you can make them in so many different ways, friendship bracelets are made with embroidery floss and are usually tied on and seldom have beads, if you want to make one with beads, you can do macrame(like the hemp jewelry, these can be tied on too, go to www.elainecrafts.com for instructions, if you want to thread beads you will need bead thread, a long skinny beading needle, beads and a closure , that can be a spring ring or a toggle clasp, no matter which one you plan to make you can get the stuff at walmart, joannes, or Micheals arts and crafts. for strung beads you put the bead thread into your needle, and use it double strength, put one end of the toggle onto the thread and sew through the toggle several times and knot securely, then string on the beads, you want it to be about 7 inches long for most average wrists, there are tons of types of beads and lots of colors, you can blend more than one type on a bracelet if you like, then when you have reached 7 inches of beads, sew through the other end of the toggle several times and knot off, cut the thread, put a drop of glue on your knot on either end. you can also use tigertail wire with a crimp bead, and at walmart you can get small kits with your closure, crimp beads and tigertail for a couple of dollars, then all you need is a pair of needle nosed pliars, and a package of beads. enjoy your effort, you might have your gift giving beaten for the females in your life now. good luck.

A string and beads works. Just put the string through the holes in the beads and tie it in a circle.

You can make a bracelet with any kind of string or bead as long as its bright and colorful unless shes goth. You can find beads that has letters on it and string her name.

well you can make different braclets different ways... YOu can make many different types of "friendship" Braclets using collored strings and differnt braiding or knoting techniques. or for a beaded braclet you can yous some type of string or wire, beads and or charms and you need some sort of clasp and crimps to make the clasps stay on. You can find all the items you woud need at a crafts store like AC Moore or MIchaels. or you can allso go to a bead store if there is one in your area. Make sure you use her favoirte collors or for charms something that is important to her like a favorite animal etc.

what about getting some polymer clay and making your own beads which you can then string together, it would be totally unique and you can style them the way she likes best.
