I'm want to become an actor and a model but I am only 17, I need some advise on how to get notice?

I just need some insight on how to got notice so that I can get my foot in the door of showbiz! I am currently living in Durham, NC.

Im no expert but ithis is what Id do;
Join a little theatre group
Buy a camcorder or digicam
Film yoself doing all sorts of stuff.
Make mini movies etc.
Get some good photos together and I mean real good, b&W profiles and frontal face shots etc.
Make a folder up of yourself, tons of photos, CV of any stage acting performances youve done
Study all the actors you see, become a movie buff and look at everything on the screen, even take note of the camera angles, the wardrobe changes, the lighting, the different ways the actors change their voices, their makeup etc
There is so much to learn from watching movies.

You must live in a city where the entertainment and modeling industries are located.

In the United States, there are only TWO cities, New York and Los Angeles.

Since you are 17, you wait until you are old enough to move to New York or Los Angeles, to pursue your interest in modeling and acting.

You will NOT find professional modeling agencies in other cities, you will only find scams.

Try finding an organization, like a teen magazine or another type business. Many will provide scholarships to colleges for your talents. Please, go to college though. Do not be another person in hollywood, starving and without work. Always have a backup plan. I wish you the best!

in case you reside in long island or la, ask your mothers and fathers to locate a expertise agent for you. of direction, you will pick a resume of each and all the performs you have carried out in, alongside with skills: dancing (faucet, jazz, ballet) and your making a music - contain your vocal selection on your resume.
