Dont name it after Kryptonite. Thats the one things that can take Superman down. You want to jinx the boat straight from the beginning?
How big is the boat? Powerboat or sail boat? Do you fish? Let me know i have a few ideas for ya, but some arent proper for different types of boats.

Boats are special. The name is important and should reflect something special in your life, not mine.
I have the name for my boat, now I need the boat. It is the name of a special woman in my life.
Some people today use names that reflect their lifestyle; Party Squid, Diver Driver
Some people stick with the traditional women's names;
I not sure, but, Superman's Real mother what was her name? Lara, Sarah
Maybe an Animal or Bird you like;
Water Cheetah, Ocean Parrot
I just try to give you some examples. But, to me my boat will be special and I wanted a special name that means something to me and no one else.

Superman's Kryptonian name is "Kal-El" meaning "vessel of God" in Hebrew. That would be a nice name for a boat.
But most people give boats girl names.

Just throwing this out there, but if you want to dedicate it to your dad you could always name the boat "Jar-El". That was Superman's real dad.
If you want to dedicate it to your step-parents just go with "The Kents".

Maybe this is too obvious, but how about Kryptonite? Or Ka-El (his name on Krypton, before he was adopted by the Kents. Or Metropolis?
