I say Portugal because it is my homeland
it is beautiful
coastal country with many great beaches
very green
great food and wine
love the festivals during the summer time..
love the traditional "rocket type fireworks during those summer festivals
love the all day parties in the middle of the mountains... (They are wicked with all the "almost free booze"
the traditional dances
the spirit
the lifestyle.... easy going people who love and actually live life... unlike the rat race of the North America... (this includes the country which I presently reside in).. which is Canada btw...
There is so much to love about Portugal... can't say enough about the place....
Oh yah.. and we have a great soccer team...

Hopefully, we all think our respective countries are the best.
I have to be honest. I love the USA. Oh yeah, we definitely have some issues, and heaven knows our politicians are among the most moronic. However, at least we have to actually prove how stupid we can be by voting the same idiots back in every few years. None of this "dictator for life" nonsense.
What I love about it...the landscape and the people. Not the people who make the news. Just the ordinary Joe / Jane who work, have a family, and are just living quiet normal lives.
I love that I can go to the West Coast, and see the most magnificent cold blue water crashing against red crags of rock pushed up along the coast. I can travel to the deserts where the sentinels of saquaro cactus stand with their arms spread wide open and embrace a magnificent orange sunset. I can go to the Midwest and see the endless plains of wheat and corn and grass. I can understand why the early settlers sometimes walked out into that sea of grass to die.
I can see mountains, forests, sand, oceans, lakes. I can hear dozens of languages and more versions of American English than you can imagine.
Most visitors never see the US that I can see. They end up in Orlando, or LA or New York City or Las Vegas. They don't end up in Tortilla Flats, Arizona or Hell, Michigan. It's too bad.

Ecuador because it's amazing. You can see the Amazon, the ocean, mountains and beautiful buildings in the city. It's also very small so it's easy to see more and since it's a third world country, American money goes a long way.

People are friendly, weather is nice, it's a prime spot in the world (I guess), it's part of Europe but so south we get to be exclusive... I'd say Portugal lol.

everyone will vote for his country as the best..because he is proud to be from his country..forexample i will surely vote for Egypt..because i love being Egyptian..i love my history and people...and because we one of the top countries in tourism we have many great places ( like cairo Giza Alexandria Sharm Elsheik,gurdaga,Luxor , aswan) but i must admit that Europe as a continent is the best in the world..because they have many beautiful countries like Spain England Portugal Switzerland Italia

This is a funny question becouse i saw "Pirates 3" today and in a part of it (can't say witch, don't want to ruin the movie) all the pirates voted for themselves to be ruler. Similar to this question :p

i think that every country has a little bad in it, the US has way too much polution, some countries have dictators, there isnt' a best country

Kazakhstan greatest country in the world. all other countries are run by little girls. Kazakhstan number one exporter of potassium..... why? it very nice place. high five!
