can you help me figure out problems like these (see below) because i dont know where to begin?

1. In this sequence you add the previous two numbers to get the next one. ie. 1=1. 1+1 = 2. 2+1=3. 3+2=5. And so on. So the next number in the sequence is 13+21 = 34.
2. Now I've told you how the sequence works, I'm sure you can figure out the 14th number in the sequence. For the next number add 21 and 34. Then just keep going!
3. Replace the letter "n" with "-3".
You can now figure out the solution of this equation: (2 x -3) + 2. Do that on your calculator, but enter it as (2 x (-3))+2 so it doesn't get confused.
Let's call the answer you get "k".
So f(n) = k - meaning f multiplied by n = k.
So divide k by n (which is of course -3) and you've got f!

Fibonacci sequence just adds the number with its preceding number to get the next one, which is added to the one before it to get the next... here look
1,1,2,3,5,8
1+1=2, 2+1=3, 3+5=8, 8+5=13....
so the first question would be 55, the second 377, and your third is hard to explain, but here goes
f ( n ) = ( 2 x n ) + 2
f ( -3 ) = ( 2 x [-3] ) + 2
-3f = (-6) +2
-3f = -4

The next number in sequence is the sum of the two numbers before it. 1 then 1, then 2 (1+1) then 3 (2+1) then 5 (3+2) and so on.
1/ 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55 55 is the 10 place.
2/ Just continue til you get to the 14th place.
Can't help with the algerbra though.

It's a sequence adding the current number to the previous number to get the next number.
1, there's no previous number to add, so the next number is
1, the previous of that is 1, so the next number is 1 + 1 =
2, the previous of that is 1, so the next number is 1 + 2 =
3, the previous of that is 2, so the next number is 2 + 3 =
5, and so on.
The last question is functions, and that's where you swap the letter being replaced with the new number.
If
g(n) = n + 1
g(2) = 2 + 1
meaning
g(2) = 3

The answer to number one is 34. You start with 1. 1 plus nothing is still one. 1 plus 1 equals 2. 1 plus 2 equals 3. 3 plus 2 equals 5. 3 plus 5 equals 8 and so forth and so on. Maybe this will help you figure out the rest.

Drives me psychological, too - at the same time as 'composers' won't have the means to dream up words to in stable situation the musical notes - and fill in with whoa, whoa, whoa - or is it woe, woe, woe ?
