I'm guessing that you mean the importance of sex in a relationship. Sex in a relationship is important because it brings closeness in that relationship. It's a way of making the bond between two people stronger. It's also important physiologically because people have hormones that make them desire sex for reproduction.

Well sex starts the cycle of reproduction which is important for our species to continue. Although most people don't have sex for this reason. Sex is important to different people for different reasons.

Important for who?
Sex was kinda nice when I was young. I think homones are the reason we want sex. I don't think it is the most important aspect in a relationship. I think the first thing is friendship...then sex.
Sex should be fun and spontanious too.

because it heels u
it gives u mental peace
it releases ur physical exertions and give u a sound sleep.
it is necessary for maintaining life cycle..
it is exchange of emotion and develops along lasting relation
but all are true if
it is done with mutual conciousness & with love
not by force in any case. Have safe sex.

It is just another basic instinct like hunger and need for shelter and security: we make heavy weather of it, because it has connotations of privacy and intimacy, and invasion, as, in the natural way, there are partners involved: and, then innovative as we are, we derive forms of entertainment and amusement, out of the very natural phenomenon!

Biologically speaking: there are five elements of life. I don't remember all five of them but reproduction = sex for humans and most living organisms
