What makes you feel better when you are down?

Question

A hot shower always does the trick for me.
So I am off to have one.
Hope you guys are all having alot better of a day than I am...
I wish I wasn't so sensitive.

I like your idea of putting some upbeat music on, doing laundry, cleaning up and cooking a nice dinner. I think that sense of accomplishment does make you feel good. Today is one of those lazy days though, I know what you mean. I was talking to a few other people who said the same thing about today, they are just sitting around relaxing, watching tv or movies, and doing nothing, which is also good for the psyche every once in a while. People always think they have to be busy to be happy, but I don't think that's true. Have a great day no matter what you do!

I like hot showers too. Your favorite music of the cheerful or depressing variety is always a good bet. I will play some Beatles if I want to feel cheerful. I'll play some John Lee Hooker if I want to hear about someone else's hard times.
A glass of your favorite cold beverage is good. Gin always makes probs go away until the next morning, at which point you will be more concerned with your headache than the silly things you felt bad about the night before.

A long time ago I started collecting what I call my little heavens for pulling myself out of a funk. It all started on one of the darkest days in my life. I looked out of the window and saw this absolutely beautiful bird. He was sitting on a telephone line and singing to his heart's content. It made me smile and I thought I could remember that when I was feeling low. After that, it was sometimes the laughter of a child, or a fresh breath of air. Just the air coming through the window right now is making me feel better. If you try hard enough, I know you'll come up with your own "little heavens". Put them up on a shelf and bring one down when you feel blue. I have a very large collection and I did manage to get through those dark days. I hope you do too.

well if im angery i play tetris on my cell phone until i calm down. then i take a shower and run in my room and lock the door. i lay on my bed with the stereo on really loud. i scream into my pillow until i feel better.
if im sad i will call up one of my freinds and meet her. then we will talk for a while. when i go home i will listen to music and sleep.
im sorry you had a bad day. thinks will get better sooner or later. they have a way of doing that.

Well, when I'm down, I like to listen to music. I'll listen to pretty much anything on my iPod, from Incubus and Chevelle, to Coldplay or The Doors. I also like expressing my feelings through art. Stargazing always is really relaxing and amazing for me.

My friends and a nice cold beer always does the trick. They always know just what to say and can always make me laugh. That's why I love em.
