I think you want to know the difference between an annulment and a divorce? If so here goes.
In layman's terms an annulment means that there wasn't a legitimate marriage in the first place. There could be several reasons for this. One partner entered the marriage unwillingly (under duress), was a minor and not able to make that decision, or when unsound in mind, or the other partner isn't who the first partner had reasonable right to know they were e.g. if one was married and didn't disclose the fact. Or only married for a green card (residency), and the other was unaware of that.
At one time an annulment could only be sought if the marriage wasn't consummated (they didn't have sex), but that doesn't apply today.
Divorce is the legal dissolution of a binding marriage. The marriage was real, but one/both parties want it to be over.
Either way there are probably going to be lawyers involved, and its going to get messy.
Then there is legal seperation, where you two go your own ways, but are not free to remarry until a divorce is finalised.
Next time why not do more about finding out about your partner (and yourself) BEFORE getting hitched?

**This information would depend on where your from. It is pretty standard in Australia, USA, Great Britian and New Zealand, but may not apply if you are from somewhere else.

You need to put in more information such as your age and possibly what is going on that you would want a divorce in only 4 short months. I have made it ten years and he has never done anything to make me even want to give up that easily. Marriage is about commitment and trying is the best thing you should do. You should have never gotten married if you were not prepared to deal with issues together. I think you should try to work things out instead of trying to take the easy way out.

the significant distinction is interior the Episcopal Church you do no longer would desire to study your strategies on the door. The Pope isn't the only and basically chief and determination maker. Bishops interior the Episcopal church are elected. Social subject concerns interior the Episcopal Church are greater prepared to no longer choose existence in many places. there is not any maximum ability who makes judgements. The Catholic Church runs as a dictatorship, The Episcopal Church is greater democratic.

4 months only and you're thinking of divorce?! what on earth were you thinking when you are planning for your wedding?! there's no easy way out in anything. go consult a marriage counsellor (where you both registered or at a government registration office) if you want more options and advice.

wow you should have figured out what a marriage was before you got married its a lifetime commitment, for better or worse weren't you listening when you said your vows. unless its abuse you should look into counseling. but i think you could file for annulment since its under 6 months. good luck and figure out what you want in life before you make this mistake again. hopefully theres no kids involved.

You could get legally separated. It's not the same as a divorce. Look into that. Definitely get a lawyer.

Get your partner to accept to take a walk unconditionally, fill up the paper work, put down your signature in the space provided, get your partner to do same, file it in your county court and get the judge to sign it. After that, you're free on board.
