I appreciate your concern about this growing problem in our country. I fear that your computer is likely infected with Adware/Spyware/Viruses that come from visiting these types of sites. The only recourse you might have (I am giving this advice as an experienced system admin. for a Christian school) is to reformat your computer. Hopefully this is something that you can tackle or one of the kids.
After your computer is clean - I would recommend a free web blocker that I have tested and I would give it a thumbs up - it even stops the kids from going to proxy sites to get around the software. It is available for free download here:

Good luck - and blessings to you for being such a good Mom.:)

Actually, you don't care if your computer's been used or not, so long as no impressionable eyes saw it and you can eradicate all evidence of such usage.
Get Windows Washer, which can be purchased at any electronics store or from their website for about $40.
It will not only get rid of the cookies and history, when properly set, but it will sanitize the hard drive by over writing and deleting spaces on the drive that have already been deleted.
Deleting anything simply causes the computer to remove the file name for the data on the disk. The data's still there, and it's still read by the computer, you just can't activate the data without the file name. Windows Washer overwrites, then deletes, any previously deleted file up to 10 times. DOD only requires 3 over writes for security purposes.
Spend a couple bucks, and from now on be damn sure you trust the person using your computer.
Getting rid of the history, cache and cookies as well as eradicating the memory should help you out immensely. Windows Washer will do it all.
Best.

An easy way to do it is to set your browser up so it saves all sites that have been visited in the past however days. In Firefox, simply go to tools, options, privacy and then select how many days. You can then view all sites visited and when at your leisure. In IE 7 go to tools at the top right then Internet Options its in General you can do the same thing. The problem with this is that someone else might know how to delete this. I believe Vista allows something like that, but i still use XP so i have no idea how that works, but if you do have vista ask around places like www.eggxpert.com and www.cnet.com

Even if the history is cleared, the cache may not be... try going to C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files or the Temp folder. C: or wherever they are stored... Go to View->Details and sort by date or type. You may have some luck with matching the time/dates. Good luck.

One easy way to do it is to check your net servers search engine. When you next go on-line use the search engine and one letter at a time type each letter of the alphabet to see what has recently been looked for. Your PC should have parental control keep a close eye on it to make sure it has not been deactivated.

If you have windows Vista , you click on the favorites center button in internet explorer (looks like a star) then history and you are there. If you have XP, I think there is a history button in the toolbar when you open internet explorer. It looks like a clock or something.

My feeling is, if someone in your 'home' wants to visit pornography sites, thats their perogative and not any of your business. Enough of the big brother world.
