I
There are things which are within our power, and there are things which are beyond our power. Within our power are opinion, aim, desire, aversion, an in one word, whatever affairs are our own. Beyond our power are body, property, reputation, office, and in a word, whatever are not properly our own affairs.
Now the things within our power are by nature free, unrestricted, unhindered; but those beyond our power are weak, dependent, restricted alien. Remember, then, that if you attribute freedom to things by nature dependent and take what belongs to others for your-own, you will be hindered, you will lament, you will be disturbed, you will find fault in both gods and men. But if you take for your own only that which is your own and view what belongs to others just as it really is, then no one will ever compel you, no one will restrict you; you find fault with no one, you will accuse no one, you will do nothing against your will; no one will hurt you, you will have no enemy, nor will you suffer any harm.
Aiming, therefore, at such great things, remember that you must not allow yourself any indication, however slight, toward the attainment of the others; but that you must entirely quit some of them, and for the present postpone the rest. But if you would have these, and possess power and wealth likewise, you may miss the latter in seeking the former; and you will certainly fail on that by which alone happiness and freedom are procured.
Seek at once, therefore, to be able to say to every unpleasing semblance, “You are but a semblance and by no means the real thing.” And then examine it by those rules which you have; and first and chiefly by this: whether it concerns the things which are within our power or those which are not; and if it concerns anything beyond our power, be prepared to say that it is nothing to you.

1 Threaten them. People will sometimes respond to threats.
2 Coerce them. People will sometimes respond to blackmail and manipulation.
3 Reward them. People will sometimes respond to carrots.
4 Pay them. Some people will do just about anything for a buck.
5 Convince them. Some people will do as you would like if you demonstrate that what you want is in their best interest.

If you want people to look up to you, you have to earn respect from them. Be nice and say the same things over and over again. Respect is what drove me to say the saying: "What goes around comes around" ALOT! Remember, "What goes around comes around." If you say "Remember -whatever-" the human brain reacts in a way that helps them to remember. Another way that works is to shock them. You may not like my answer because it is respectful and scientific- sorry! I couldn't think of any other way than of how I think and react to explain. It is a difficult subject, this is. Hmm...... LOL

Always research and understand the point that you want to make. When you know something it will show... From there it will be easier for people to understand and sympathize with you.

Also, learning to properly type and perhaps looking like you want to be taken seriously is a must.

Write a song with your own lyrics. People'll sing about everything you say in the song.
That's about the only way I can figure out how to do it.

It would be a pretty boring world if everyone said the same things--or even thought the same things. Individuality is important in life.
