i need to clean my house but too scared of spiders

It would depend some on the design of your vacuum, but odds are are high that the spider will die.
On the other hand, if you swallow a spider yourself, the spider will certainly die, I can't say for sure what will happen to you in that case, but unless the spider is something like a brown recluse, you will probably be OK.
However, your karma will be better if you coax the spider into, say, a water glass and release it outdoors .

daddy long legs are the least to worry about. they actually are good because they eat bugs and bad spiders. they aren't anywhere near as scary as a black widow or a brown recluse.
