Which Windshield Wash fluid would you recommend? Is it ok to use water with mild detergent instead of wash flu

RainX is the best ... The detergent mixture will make it impossible to see in rain... please dont do that.

yeah its ok to use a mild detergent, except for the fact that your windows will smear when you turn the wipers on during rain. I would just use cheap old washer fluid, and everytime you fill up just use the thing and wash your windshield.

Definitely Rain-X windshield fluid. It applies Rain-X to your windshield every time - so not only does it leave your windshield with a nice and clean shine, but it makes your windshield shed water like seal skin! Water drops fly right off of it. It's a great product.

make sure you completely drain your system of any regular windshild washer solution first because you never know how any other chemicals might react with any fluid left in the lines or tank. Then you can replace with just plain water with perhaps a little ammonia added.
I don't know why this is necessary. In my area at least you can purchase a gallon of regular washer fluid for around 88 cents and a gallon lasts me over a year.

Rain-X is the best once you use it in the rain you'll never use anything else.They do make a washer fluid make sure you get that and not the stuff you apply directly to the windsheild which is good too but not meeting your needs

Just plain old cheap washer fluid from a parts store or gas station is all you need. Too much soap may suds too much and not clean as well.

My suggestion is to use automotive washer fluid. Home made fluid can dammage washer pumps and clogg lines. Also, automotive washer fluid is designed for extremes tempatures.

rain X is the best stuff you can get i would stay away from putting detergent in there might clog the lines

if you live in a cold climate don't do it,your fluid tank will freeze and bust.the blue stuff comes with alcohol to prevent freezing
