I was wondering what is a good, but not too expensive Wireless router for my friends PC.

If you need a router for daily works just like web browsing, download files and some other stuff any router will do the work. What you need to know is the space in which you're going to use it because they have distinct range so that is a point to consider.Another point is your computer wireless card band most computers come with a B/G card so take a look before getting your router, because some routes support only A band.

My D-Link DI-624 has been running 24x7 for 16 months now. Even at medium power setting I get very good and very reliable signal at the 2nd floor. It is so easy to set up and works great even with my PDA. The DI-524 is a cheaper model.

My DSL modem and wireless router run cool in the vertical position. There is no trapped hot air because it just goes out the top vent and cool air enters from the bottom.

All D-Link routers all good but they're kind of expensive.

I would NOT recommend D-Link WBR 1310.
