Everybody says they are a gay band and their listeners are gay but the only thing that makes people beleive that is that they claim the music is lifting and upbeat when most of it really isn't, just really sad songs. Do you like coldplay and do you think they are gay

I love Coldplay and they're not Gay. Clocks is upbeat, so is Green Eyes, so is Speed of Sound...yes some of there stuff is sad but sadness is beautiful... like Fix You is incredibly Beautiful & so is The Scientist...and I'm not gay either

I like Coldplay. i'm not gay. i think it is uplifting sometimes, but other times it's not.
but with your comments on people being gay who listen to them i totally thought of the movie The 40 Year Old Virgin... there's this part where someone says: "You know how i know you're gay? Because you listen to Coldplay!"
it's a funny line, but not true.

They're not gay! I know at least one of them is married and I think another one is too but I'm not sure.
I love Coldplay, they are my favorite.

Clocks was a mega-hit of this generation....The lead singer was dating Gwynneth Paltrow.. wasnt he??? That would hardly make him gay...
even so... why would it matter??? George Michael is... and some of the music he put out defined a generation...

I like Coldplay,but they remind me of Nickelback.Their music is very repetitive.

I think they are talented and unique....although they remind me a bit of U2 with their sound for some strange reason.

I am burnt out on them. I was tortured with their music a while back, and I still haven't gotten over it.

id have to say that i LOVE their first album, but they started getting worse with each album. i mean, not to say their new stuff isnt good. it reminds me of the beach, and calms me a lot.
