The Ed Sullivan show is the correct answer. Sullivan way notoriously conservative. he tried to sensor the Doors when they were on the show and, you have to remember that the shows were live at that time. The The Doors and Morrison said that they would censor their song and then just went ahead and played it the right way. It was then explained to the Doors that they were banned for life from the Show. They just laughed it off. They had the #1 song in the world and there was so much publicity over the incident that they didn't care. He tried to censor the Beatles and many other bands. Dylan had a lot of political integrity and spoke for many in his generation. He was applauded for his stand at the time.
