There are real, but I'm not talking about the UNDEAD, but the real thing.

Myths and legends from all over the world portray bats as blood-sucking demons. Vampire bats really do exist, but only three species in Central and South America.

The vampire bats (Desmodus rotundus) have a wingspan of about eight inches and a body about the size of an adult's thumb. If not for their diet, people would not pay much attention to these small bats. Vampire bats feed on the blood of large birds, cattle, horses, and pigs. However, they donÕt suck the blood of their "victims".

Using their sharp teeth, the bats make tiny cuts in the skin of a sleeping animal. The bats' saliva contains a chemical that keeps the blood from clotting. The bats then lap up the blood that oozes from the wound. Another chemical in their saliva numbs the animal's skin and keeps them from waking up.

That's the real thing!

Nope, and it has been proven mathematically to be IMPOSSIBLE!
If you have Dracula as the first vampire, and he needs 1 human a week to survive, and that 1 human becomes one of the "undead", you now have 2 vampires, and they both get humans the next week, now there are 4, and the next week 8 and so on.
After 1 year there will be 2251799813685248 vampires!
After 10 years the whole of the population of the earth will be vampires, and with no one to feed on, they all would die!

No there are maybe vampire "wannabes" but no such thing in reality.
I think there is a fascination with the idea of it. Hence movies like "Interview with a Vampire" and some new show called "Blood Ties". There has always been an air of mystery and a sort of sensual-ness surrounding the [fictitious] idea of what a vampire might be like if there were such a thing--which there's not.

The most common Human vampire is the individual that seems to suck you emotionally dry.
They leave you feeling used. They "suck" a part of you out while they are with you. By various methods individualized by the human vampire, they can take a part of you and leave you weak. Your personality or trait or talent or friends even your job.
Of course, you have to allow this to affect you.
Or, if you are born super sensitive you can be a target for those that can look you in you eyes and lie telling you what you want to hear.
Those are the worst human vampires because in the name of friendship they lie to you to manipulate you to believe what you want to believe.
A con-artist without appearance recognizable.

As far as i know, the word 'vampire' has been derived from European folklore and means a corpse which rises nightly from its grave to drink the blood of the living.I have never heard of any such happening in my life.It also does not appeal to my sense of logic that that there can be any such corpse which will really rise from its grave. However, there no doubt are some vampiric people who prey mercilessly upon other humans.

There are people that drink blood of animals in places like africa and south america, but its actually a smart Idea, they gently bleed the goat or cow, mix it with its milk and drink it and they don't have to eat for an entire week. There are people that also drink there own blood due to an addiction but that wouldn't make them vampires. Yes vampires exist there called leeches and mosquitos

1. There are people who think they are vampires and drink blood. Some have been known to kill people first.

2. There are people, you can find their web sites on the Internet, that actively work at siphoning off the psychic energies of others.

You decide.

well i think the closest u can get would have to be someone that filed his or her teeth and just so happend to be starving from lack of food or water and might just be about to die. i dont even know if they need to file their teeth in that situation. maybe theve had expirence eating things raw out in the wilderness in order to survive. and they moved on to a human cause it was all they had left. i was writing a book on psychological and social vampires but thats a whole different lvl. but as far as the whole putting on the whole facade, for the sake of wicked pleasure yeah they are everywhere, but they arent real. real as in the fact that they are immortal.
