I'm 17 and am considering getting a breast reduction. I wear a 34E (meaning my boobs are 40 inches around at the widest point). In the locker room during gym, girls stare at me and I can even hear them whisper mean comments to eachother. Guys seem to hit on me all the time (even college age and older although I'm just in high school) and only are interested in getting my shirt off, it seems.
I've talked to my parents. They are supportive no matter what I choose and are willing to pay for it.
What should I do?

Also, if I were to go through with the procedure, what size should I be? I was thinking that I don't want to totally change my body, so maybe a D or a DD?

Also, losing weight won't help, because I'm already thin for my height. I'm 5'4'' and 115 pounds, but I think my boobs do add to my weight, so if I had smaller boobs, I might be around 110 or 112.

First off, a breast reduction is NOT a minor change!... It will greatly help you with any back health issues you may have.
Your (or their) insurance could pay for it if you complain about back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, grooves in your shoulders, or rashes under your breasts.
My insurance covered it 100%.
I went from a 38J to a 38C. Five pounds off, not more back pain, and loving life!
Talk with the family doctor and consult with a PS about what you would like to go down to. They canNOT guarantee you a cup size because they do not know how much they can safely take out until they cut open the breast. They can TRY.
Some insurance companies are picky and want documentation or you to lose weight before approving. My insurance company did not need any of it, most likely because of how large I already was.
Here are a few sites to check out:

The last site helped me out a LOT with my research with its excellent FAQ section, and the support board helped me out before and after surgery.

I had a breast reduction when I was 17...I am now 49 and if I had to do it all over I still would but I wish I left them bigger than a C cup a D atleast. Don't pinch on the cost you want a surgeon with alot of experience. Scars can be avoided with the right surgeon and their level of expertise . If you are overweight I would lose the weight first and not use a reduction as a weight loss method because if you lose weight after the first part to go is your boobs. The other point is now I wish my boobs were higher up I wonder if you could have that as part of your surgery these days. well good luck...after my reduction I refused to buy 4 hook bras and never have!

There are a lot of risks involved in any surgery. It is not all that uncommon for people to die because of medical mistakes or allergic reactions. So you need to consider if you want to risk losing your life for a minor cosmetic change. As you get older you will be less likely to be bothered by guys staring at your chest or girls making unkind comments. If I were you I would do some reading about all the possible risks involved with this particular surgery. I have a friend who had a reduction at age 28 and she did have complications. She really did need the surgery, as you might too, but still there are the risks. They removed 2 1/2 lbs from each of her breast, but had trouble reattaching her nipple and it doesn't look normal now.
So you're not overweight, so nothing much you can do on your own to make them smaller. Have you tried a reducing bra? They can make you appear smaller.

Definitely. If you don't, you will suffer not only the staring problems etc, but back and neck pain, and not finding clothes to fit too. But, if you can tough it out, wait till you are 18, which is when a women is fully grown. That way, you will be able to chose the right size etc, and not worry about growing some more.
Good luck!

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
