Since I lived through the cultural revolution, the music, the protest, the Hippies the drugs it still interests me but I wouldn't say it holds a fascination for me.
I am fascinated by WWII, Hitler, Nazis, and the Holocaust. What a period in human history.

Hitler's suicide/murder. The fact that they hid the location so well hidden and some of his men brought their entire families into the bunker to die is absolutely fascinating. How do people like Hitler and Jim Jones get their followers to kill themselves and their children? I'll never understand that thinking.

The Era of Prohibition. It seems so hard to believe and so many things happened in terms of culture and all the crime. Its super interesting.

Anything that has to do with civil rights. Marches, protest, sit-ins are very ineresting and I wish we had the spine to do that today.
