What I'm learning the hard way is that where we go wrong is expecting a "feeling". I too, pray and feel empty sometimes and then I have to remind myself that just because I don't feel it doesn't mean it isn't so. I don't think everyone gets that rush of euphoria after they've prayed or accepted Christ into their lives. His word says if you repent of your sins and ask Him into your heart, you are saved. So if you believe His word, then you must believe that no matter how it feels or doesn't feel it IS so because He said it is. Personally, I didn't hear the bells and whistles when I became a Christian and to be honest sometimes I wonder about my salvation but in my stronger moments I really believe that is just a very clever trick of the devil's. Doubt. If he can successfully plant just a tiny seed of doubt in our minds, he can manipulate us. I think once we stop chasing the feeling and come to an acceptance of what is, simply because He says it is, we will better be able to connect with God. Don't give up. Your life literally depends on it. I genuinely wish you the very best on your journey back to God, its an important one.

There are a few reasons why you do not FEEL God in you r life.
1. Which God are praying to?
The Bible says there is only ONE God and only One mediator (Go-between) and that is Jesus Christ. (1 Timothy 2:5)
2. Trust can only be in God.
You say you have everything money can buy, but are your things your God? Man cannot serve two masters, he will serve one and hate the other. (Matthew 6:24)
3. Sin separates us from God.
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
This is not an exhaustive list, just some ideas. The thing to remember is, Jesus says you must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3) Never give up on God, just be sure that you are not looking for a happy feeling or fuzzy tingle. A relationship with the Father will change everything. It's not just something you add to your list of priorities, it is a total shift of your priorities to make him #1. When the spirit of God is in you, you WILL BE CHANGED! (2Corinthian 5:17)
God Bless You

Praying should make you happy. I believe that God exists but at the same time God doesn't just come out of nowhere and solve your problems. He gives you inspiration to solve your problems! As long as you mean it when you pray, that feeling should go away. Maybe you are just trying to fool yourself when you say that your problem is that God isnt in your life - maybe you have something else on your mind? You said that you have everything [material] but we all need to remember that what really counts is on the inside. Think about it - have you been doing bad things? Talking bad to people/ talking behind someone's back? Are you selfish? That may be what is bothering you. If it is - try just being a better person, it really helps. If you really believe in God - don't stop praying! Don't give up! Quitters never prosper! Even if you don't feel anything different, know that God loves you and don't stop believing in his power!

I was tormented by those feelings back in 2000. For 4 days, I prayed every half hour or so, even at work, when I would walk back to the storage area and demand that He take over my life. Finally, I asked Him to wash my sins with the Blood of Jesus. About 5 seconds later, I could physically feel something going down from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. I had never been happier and more fulfilled in my life. What you're feeling is the Holy Spirit working on your conscience.

Well...i am sort of going through the same thing but...i can asure you that in those moments that i feel lonely is when he carries me in his arms and that gives me the strength to feel the love and fill in the space, maybe i have more problems than you do, and although sometimes i feel that he's not with me I am sure that he is with me and that's why i know he is with you too, just be patient and let him guide you because you are not alone. He has a time for everything and his time is not our time so we need to wait and trust Him. I suggest that you volunter at church, that will help you fill in those empty spaces little by little, because everytime you do something do it for God and not for men, I don't know if you have problems, if you do, leave them to God and dedicate yourseld to serve Him, and you will experience wonderful things that you are now feeling. God Bless you. You can write to me if you need to or if you have questions...

truly than deliver faith into the question, i decide directly to advise you deliver the belief of spirituality. this isn't comparable to faith. faith is the dogmatic formulae of one particular flavor of thought. Spirituality speaks greater to the guy spirit, that component to you that's no longer basically meat and bone. I won't flow on approximately that, yet assist you proceed to exist it for your self. Now with reference to the universe. Why rigidity over it? What do you care? For starters, what's happening on the top of the block has little if any effect on your day by day existence; why artwork your self right into a lather over the workings of the broader universe? definite, this is extensive and mysterious and previous human comprehension in many procedures. So what? no remember in case you comprehend it or no longer, 2 truisms define it sufficiently properly which you would be able to placed it at the back of you: a million) this is there. 2) it truly works. maximum folk don't recognize ways fridges artwork, yet do no longer question the actuality of the refrigerator's existence or functionality. That the subtleties escape them would not forestall them appreciating the brilliance that invented the 1st refrigerator, or the experienced engineering that perfected the technologies. i'm no longer speaking of "sensible layout" at this element. Being terrified of death is counterproductive. you will die. No options there. each and everything alive would desire to at last die. by utilising the time it happens, you would be so previous and feeble and wiped out you will probable watch for having the flexibility to finally lay this burden down. So do no longer sweat it. stay right this moment, and not in concern of the next day. wish it facilitates. save your head up.

Time to put your feelings aside, and operate on faith. We don't always feel God or be aware of His presence in the ways we want. Maybe He is doing something in you right now, helping you to simply trust in Him. Trust that He is there and remove your expectations of "something happening." Don't wait for things to happen that YOU think should be happening right now. You are in His hands, and it's time to learn to simply trust Him. He hears your prayers! Keep going! You'll see. You've been given a lifetime to really get to know Him, just be patient, relax, He already knows you! :)

Read the life of Mother Teresa and her "dark night of the soul." She had it once also in the beginning but felt all alone her whole life after that. Still she went on and hoped for the best. I think you might be inspired. It's a side of her no one really knows about. The knowledge came about after she died. Good luck to you.

Religion can be weird, because obviously God won't appear in front of you one day and make you full of happiness. The way religion goes is by two words: Hope and Faith. Hope, is that you think positive and you know that things will be alright, and Faith is believing in God, yourself, and everyone else. Follow those two words.
