Well, If you are getting water coming from one of your cylinder holes.. More than likely you have an blown head gasket. Depending on the mileage and condition of the vehicle, I would weigh my options on a new motor or new car.

But , If you are just leaking oil inside of the spark plug hole then I would just replace the Valve Cover Gasket . It should come with the spark plug seals as well. It also may be in your best interest to change the plugs as well.

the o-rings around that particular piston are shot. each piston has metal o-rings around them to keep them in line and for the most part, it keeps the oil out of the combustion chamber where the spark plug is. but when those rings go bad and/or get extremely worn, it allows much oil to get onto the spark plug, fouling it out, and it doesnt fire. one quick TEMPORARY fix, if you can get a hold of one, is an extender (kinda a little hollow metal tube) for the spark plug. you remove the spark plug, screw the adapter into the block, then put the plug into the end of the adapter. this holds the end of the spark plug out of the majority of the oil. but you still need extensive engine work. the only "gasket" that is on the spark plug is the crush washer that goes between the plug and the engine block. just keeps the pressure in the chamber. good luck

that sounds like a seals problem

if you pull the spark plug out and the ignition tip area has oil on it then a new spark plug wont help at all (until you replace the seals).

Valve cover gaskets and the like take a long time to repair if you do it yourself, but, you'll save yourself a ton as opposed to going to the mechanic shop. Especially considering the seals are generally cheap.

It`s the valve cover gasket(s). each plug has a seal as well as the outside of the cover. It`s rubber and hardens over time. Just replace it and the problem goes away. it`s not an internal thing. Should be able to do it in 30-45 mins.

Sounds like you need a new valve cover gasket. 420a engines are known to leak oil through there. A new oem one with labor will cost around $150. Or you can do it for a lot cheaper and do it yourself.

Spark plugs are a lot cheaper than engines. I'd buy a new set and try that first. Look up the gap first, and be sure to set it properly.

spark plug holes can be repaired, helicoil, consult your local parts store or hire a mechanic maybe a 100 bucks depending on how hard the hole is to get to, after your info on the oil sounds worse than I thought have a mechanic check it out

Maybe change all the plugs for new ones.. Definitely a sight cheaper than a whole new engine. Go see a mechanic and let him hear it / drive it. He can tell more physically than your limited explanation(we need alot more info)
