Hypnosis is a special form of concetration. It is basically the process of relaxing the mind to the normal stimulii which we encounter all the time and focusing all that energy onto a single object or sound. Such as a spot on the wall or the hypnotist's voice. This is also how white line hypnosis happens when driving, full concentration on a single object (the road ahead) to the exclusion of other normal stimulii and you find yourself oblivious to everything around you.

As far as how to hypnotize others, are you looking to do the party game approach that stage performers do or wishing to try to help someone through some deep emotional issue. Because there are things to consider beforehand. If you are not a therapist you may find yourself over your head very quickly, and can do much harm.

Hypnotism is something that is best avoided! The best advice I can give you is to just be aware of anyone trying to 'charm' you into anything. Why, if not for the sake of power

the best way would be to study the subject by text or on line and then go to a hypnotist personally to see how its done and get advice. this is definitely a hands on situation and requires training. the library costs you nothing and going to someone for a visit could be quite revealing to you. good luck.
