I play goalie for my HS team well back up, and the starting keeper is the asst. coaches daughter, I feel as if I am being treated unfairly due to that. I think the head coach doesnt want to bench the other girl because she is afraid of the asst. coaches reaction...now I am playing club soccer except I have the same coaches it seems as if the asst. coach tries to make me look worse in front of the head coach...what should I do??

The asst. coach warms us up and gives her easy shots and take mine to where he knows I can't get it ...The one time I played the whole game against our rival (the other goalie wasn't there) I had a shut-out...I out play her, out save her ,out dive her, and love playing I don't mean to sound cocky it's just im tired of being the back-up when I deserve to be the starter...My plan is to keep trying and perform to the best of my ability, but what should I say to my head coach??

talk to your head coach about it privately. i played football last year and all of the coaches had sons on the team. all of them started but most were good except for one kid who showed no effort and still played a lot. he hurt our team but we were afraid to talk to the coaches about it. our team suffered. your coach will know what to do

How can the asst. coach MAKE YOU LOOK BAD in front of the head coach. Just play your best, and the head coach will notice. There is a chance that the other player at this time is better skilled than you. Work hard and become even better. Then you will have your chance. Good luck.

this happens a lot esspecially in high school! Think really hard about what is more important to you; the school and your friends that you have at this school or if you transferred to another school to play. I've seen this happen to kids and they decided to transfer and excelled their games but the choice is yours
